RIP - Bob Orton, Sr.
Bob Orton, Sr., a true legend in the wrestling industry, died yesterday. He was 77 years old -- just a week shy of his 78th birthday.
Orton was a major star from the 1950s through the 1970s, until an injury forced his retirement. The "Big O" not only had a fantastic career on his own, he was father to "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Jr. and Barry Orton (aka Barry O), and grandfather to current WWE superstar Randy Orton.
Orton, who lived in Las Vegas, was a fixture at the CAC events. The Orton family was given a special award by the CAC in 2004 for their countless contributions to the sport.
We say goodbye to a legend and a friend. You will surely be missed by all.
